• Yearly $75 cash benefit for preventive cancer screening—available immediately

• Use cash benefits any way you like—medical payments, travel, family, anything to help make your recovery easier and more comfortable
• Up to $50 a day for hospital stays
• Up to $1000 for chemotherapy and radiation treatments (even on an outpatient basis)
• Acceptance is guaranteed if you fall in the age bracket and have no history of cancer (except skin cancer) in the last five years. (12 months in TX).
• Benefits are paid directly to you, regardless of any health insurance you already have
• You may also choose to have benefits paid to hospital or provider if you desire
• Portable coverage that stays with you no matter where you live or work, and benefits won't be reduced due to age

Who is eligible for this insurance?

ASCE members and spouses between the ages of 18 and 75, and dependent children under age 19 (under 25 if a full-time student; under 26 for UT) are eligible if you have not been medically diagnosed with, treated for, or advised of cancer (except skin cancer) within the five years, 12 months TX, prior to the effective date of your coverage.

Who selects the doctors and hospitals?

You will receive all the benefits for which you are eligible regardless of what physician you see or what hospital you use. There are no restrictions as long as they meet the Plan definitions.

How are benefits paid?

All benefit checks will be sent directly to you—never to your doctor or hospital unless you specifically request it.

Are benefits paid in addition to any other coverage?

There are no coordination of benefits or co-payments with this Plan. This is a supplemental Plan that pays regardless of any other insurance you have with other companies.

When will coverage become effective?

Your coverage will become effective on the date shown on your Certificate of Insurance provided you have paid your first premium and you (or any dependents to be insured) are not hospital-confined on that date.

How do I calculate the rate on an ASCE Group $3,500 First Diagnosis Cancer Insurance plan?

It's easy! You pay one rate for individual insurance (you only), or another rate if you’d like insurance for your entire family (you, your spouse, and children).

Do I have to meet with an insurance agent?

Issuance of this policy is handled over the Internet and the mail. You can review the materials in the privacy of your home and purchase your policy directly through the mail without meeting with an agent. You can, of course, talk to a licensed representative if you'd like by calling the Policy Administrator, Pearl Insurance, at 800.650.2723 (ASCE).

What if I have second thoughts after I apply?

You will have 30 days from the date of receipt to review the insurance certificate. If you are not satisfied with the terms of the certificate, simply return it to the Policy Administrator, Pearl Insurance, and any premiums paid will be refunded in full.
